Echoes of the Void: A Cosmic Horror TTRPG
The stars are dying. Reality frays. Something ancient stirs in the dark between worlds.
Echoes of the Void is a tabletop roleplaying game of cosmic horror and desperate survival in the Shattered Expanse, a forsaken sector of space where the laws of physics are as fragile as your sanity. As a survivor, you'll navigate derelict starships, explore forgotten colonies consumed by an encroaching horror known as the "Static," and confront truths that were never meant for sentient minds.
Dare to Face the Unknowable?
In Echoes of the Void, you aren't a hero destined for glory, but a soul clinging to the tattered edges of existence. Every shadow might conceal a sanity-shattering horror, every jump through the void could be your last, and every piece of forbidden lore uncovered chips away at your already fragile mind.
What awaits you in the Shattered Expanse?
- A Universe of Cosmic Dread: Explore a setting where the universe is vast, ancient, and utterly indifferent to your survival. Face entities that defy comprehension and phenomena that warp the very fabric of space-time.
- Player-Driven Narrative: Utilize the intuitive Echoes system (inspired by Fate Core & Blades in the Dark) where descriptive traits about your character, the situation, or even your fears can be invoked for a desperate advantage or compelled by the Game Master to introduce terrifying new complications.
- The Price of Survival: Manage your Stress as you push beyond your limits and confront the horrors. Guard your Sanity against the encroaching madness, lest you become another lost soul in the void.
- Consequence-Driven Action: Every roll of the dice matters. Success is often fleeting and comes at a terrible cost. Failure means escalating horror and a descent deeper into the abyss.
- The Shattered Expanse: Delve into a richly detailed primary setting filled with unique factions, dangerous locations like the derelict "Event Horizon," reality fissures, and the ever-present threat of the "Static" – a force that erases information, memories, and even physical matter.
- Built on the Gravebloom System: Echoes of the Void adapts the core engine of the dark fantasy TTRPG Gravebloom, re-themed and expanded for a chilling space opera experience.
